This phrase entered my mind as I increased the resistance on my spin bike, sweat dripping, mind wanting to quit.
A letter to my Mother in Heaven
People say that it gets easier with time, and I would agree that the ache becomes less intense, although it hurts differently during different stages of your life and I wasn't prepared for that.

Today is the day. I’m putting it in on paper, better yet - a public blog - to assist with accountability.
All I Know So Far: Being Authentic in a Judgmental World
The profound message of that song is one I’m sure we all want our children to hear and live by; and that’s to live a life that is true for you. To not allow ourselves to be put into tiny boxes, labeled and told what we should do, how we should look, and how we should live.
Inner Strength: Reflections from an 8 year old
Today my 8 year old told me he was transgender. Just like that, matter of fact, cuddled up on the couch as we were talking about our favorite colors. A Letter To My Uterus
This past month I have gone through every human emotion about having a hysterectomy, but today I feel acceptance and appreciation and there are a few things that I would like to say to my uterus before we part ways.
37 Things I Learned in 37 Years
Earlier this year I turned 37 and for some reason it got me doing a lot of reflecting. I’m not sad at all, actually I feel pretty darn great about it. That’s something to celebrate, isn’t it?
SO here it is, I put together a list of 37 lessons I’ve learned so far. Believe me, I know 37 isn’t the guru of ages. But I don’t want to wait until I’m 80 years old to share some of these lessons. Heck, by then I may not remember them. 40 lessons sounds cooler, but again, why wait? I feel compelled to share now. Here they are, in no particular order:
